CORN TESTING PACKAGES LAUNCHED IN EASTERN CANADA

Seed testing packages are focused analytics combined to build product confidence and to facilitate sample submission convenience. For the 2018 harvest, SGS BioVision has expanded our package portfolio into corn seed products. The primary sample delivery point for eastern Canada is SGS’s Guelph location (Unit 1, 503 Imperial Road North) by either direct drop off or courier shipment. Choose from:

  • SELECT CORN PACKAGE:           Germination, Seed Count
  • PRO CORN PACKAGE:                 Germination, Seed Count, Cold Test
  • ELITE CORN PACKAGE:               Germination, Seed Count, Cold Test, Purity, Glyphosate Bioassay

PHYTOSANTIARY ANALYSIS FOR GRAIN EXPORTS TO MEXICO, CHINA & INDIA

SGS BioVision is newly authorized by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to analyze grain shipments destined to China, India and Mexico for issuance of Phytosanitary Certificates. This new service streamlines prompt analysis, often same day, and is based on the importing country’s regulations of seed, soil, and insect presence. Either CFIA or SGS samplers (approved under the Canadian Grain Sampling Program) will draw the official grain sample on site. We look forward to building strong partnerships with the exporting industry, based on efficient sampling and priority phytosanitary analysis.

UNRIVALED VARIETAL CONFIRMATION SERVICES FOR WHEAT & BARLEY

Declaring grain class, with confidence, is top of mind commencing August 1, 2018, as many CWRS and CPSR wheat varieties have transitioned into the Canadian Northern Hard Red (CNHR) wheat class. SGS BioVision’s varietal confirmation services builds varietal knowledge through precise DNA methodology and comprehensive varietal library. In addition to wheat, our varietal confirmation services extend to barley.
