PATHOGEN PACKAGES EXPANDED TO PROMOTE MONITORING AND DIAGNOSIS

From a single pathogen to a full scan of all bacterial and fungal organisms, we have packages to monitor or diagnose potential disease threats.  New to this testing in 2026 is the Alive-Dead option which is the ability to report a growing list of viable organisms so that the effectiveness of disinfection for a pathogen, such as Fusarium, can be monitored.

Virus testing by RT-qPCR is also ready for individual viruses such as ToBRFV, PepMV and CCMMV, impactful in greenhouse and controlled environment businesses. Each can be requested individually.  Scanning multiple viruses in a single screen, for example 25 viruses that impact tomatoes, can be tested simultaneously, delivering comprehensive data.

These packages are applicable to water, media, soil, tissue, and circulating solution samples.

AMTS DATA FORMAT READY FOR RUMINANT NUTRITION SOFTWARE

SGS now delivers forage testing data in AMTS CSV format for easy import into nutritional software, saving our clients time and ensuring data precision.  Contact the lab to set up your account to include this format when reporting results.

SOYMEAL NIR ANALYSIS BUILDS EFFICIENCY FOR DECISIONS

For feed mills requiring a fast and accurate test of their soymeal ingredient, we offer a new ‘Soymeal NIR Package’ that includes moisture, protein, fat, fibre and ash.  Options can be added such as ADF and NDF to this base Soymeal NIR Package. We require 100 grams of sample and can provide results in 2-3 business days.
